Our accommodation comprises of attractive well decorated rooms that provide warmth, comfort and a real sense of home. Our setting is beautiful and the extensive gardens are a real source of pleasure for the residents.

You can choose from an en-suiterooms with a companion or any of our single rooms. We have a number of rooms offering picture post card views across Aire Valley.

All rooms are tastefully decorated, equipped with a nurse call, smoke detector, thermostatically controlled radiator, television, telephone sockets and have been designed with convenience, privacy and comfort in mind.

Norwood House recognises the importance of maintaining a physical and social environment in caring for the person’s needs. The home is constantly being kept up to date and renovated in order to provide a dementia friendly environment for the residents. Through previous research, we have implemented changes to the flooring, walls and added decoration in order to make it dementia friendly.  We have ensured residents receive a change in culture by creating environments that allow individuals to be a participant in everyday activities rather than one that is in need of care.

There are a number of communal lounges and a quiet room. There is a Patio and a conservatory overlooking the well-kept gardens.

The period dining room offers not only comfort but a sense of yesteryear through its decorative ceiling and fire place.  Meals can be delivered to the rooms or can be eaten in the dining room with a wide range of choice each day, prepared freshly by our professional cooks; the residents are truly spoilt for choice.

There is plenty of room to break free if you should need to sit outside on the patio or stroll in the garden or withdraw to the quiet lounge or your own room.

Norwood also takes each person’s safety very seriously and the care call system is fitted throughout in case it is required.  There is qualified nursing staff on duty 24 hours of the day to ensure the welfare of the residents around the clock.
